Nouveau nanar annoncé avec Gerard Butler commandant d'un sous marin qui essaie d'empêcher une troisième guerre mondiale, Hunter Killer visiblement tourné depuis un moment s'offre un très mauvais départ à 6 M$, même si le budget n'est pas communiqué. Butler est une énigme accumulant les bides et les nanars, on se demande comment il a la côte auprès des studios (même si Gods of Egypt reste tout à fait sympathique).
Du coup, Halloween reste largement en tête en récoltant 32 M$ supplémentaire le plaçant à 126 M US vu le coût de 10M, c'est une aubaine pour Universal malgré une baisse de 58 % non négligeable.
Sortie US technique pour Johnny English Contre-Attaque, passé hélas complètement inaperçu dans l'hexagone, dans 544 salles qui n'affiche qu'un petit Million mais les 109 Mondial font rentrer Universal dans leurs frais.
Par la suite, on ne change pas une équipe qui gagne, A Star Is Born et Venom se suivent avec 148 et 187 M, Chair de Poule 2 s'approche de 40 et The Hate U Give des 20 M en se maintenant bien.
Par contre, First Man a toujours du mal à "décoller" avec juste 37 M au compteur US et pas vraiment mieux à l'international.
Le week-end prochain, c'est le très attendu Casse-Noisette et les Quatre Royaumes et Bohemian Rhapsody qui vont se partager l'affiche.
