BO US- Transformers 5 déçoit aussi, rien ne va plus
Transformers, The Last Knight_US Final
Nouvelle déconvenue à Hollywood (et pour Paramount), le très attendu Transformers : The Last Knight arrive certes en tête, mais avec seulement 69 M$ sur trois jours d'exploitation, c'est le pire démarrage de la franchise. On pourra toujours se consoler avec le score mondial qui rattrape aisément la chose, 265 M le film étant budgeté tout de même à 217 M.
Maintenant une question se pose, est-ce la fin des blockbusters d'été à Hollywood ? Après un cru 2016 pas fameux, la saison 2017 débute dans les mêmes eaux, seul Wonder Woman a cartonné, Cars 3 et Pirates des Caraïbes ont marché sans faire de chiffres exceptionnels et que dire du semi échec d'Alien : Covenant, et du bide du Roi Arthur ? Les prochaines grosses sorties dont le fameux Spider-Man Homecoming où Dunkerque sans oublier une Planète des singes (dont les retours sont plutôt bons) seront à surveiller et peut être déterminantes pour la suite.
Transformers étant la seule sortie du week-end, les autres sont dans la continuité, Cars 3 frôle les 100 M$ ce qui est bien mais pas triomphant, le film de requins In the Deep se rattrape avec un cumul de 24 M, baisse ralentie pour Pirates des Caraïbes qui totalise tout de même 160 M.
Enfin, La Momie chute pour 68 M à peine aux USA mais plus de 342 à l'international, les blockbusters devront-ils compter sur le score mondial désormais ?
Pour finir, #Pire soirée avec Scarlett Johansson assume 16 M en tout pour un coût de 20, rentrera juste dans ses frais donc.
Le week-end prochain en attendant le nouveau Spider-Man, Gru sera de retour avec Moi, moche et méchant 3.
