BO US-La surprise Hotel Transylvanie
Alors que beaucoup de monde attendaient Looper, c'est le film d'animation Sony/Columbia Hotel Transylvanie qui crée la surprise en réussissant le plus gros score en ouverture depuis la rentrée avec 43 M de $ pour un coût de 85. Dans ce film, Dracula fonde un hôtel pour ses copains monstres jusqu'au jour où un humain sème la zizanie. Les bandes annonces ont l'air de donner quelque chose de très sympathique, mais il va falloir attendre jusqu'au 13 Février pour le voir en France repoussé inexplicablement et stupidement du 19 Décembre.
Looper donc passe à la deuxième place avec 21 M de $ mais pour un budget de 30 devrait rentrer rapidement dans ses frais. Le film a eu de très bons avis au festival de Toronto et ailleurs et Bruce Willis qui tourne beaucoup en ce moment obtient un joli petit succès ainsi que Joseph Gordon Levitt.
Le flop du week end est Pitch Perfect, énième comédie pour ados avec la ravissante Anna Kendrick (découverte dans In the Air) qui ouvre à 6 M, et également Won't Back Down avec Maggie Gyllenhaal qui affiche à peine 2 M.
Autrement, Trouble with the Curve avec Clint se maintient bien et cumule 23 M environ de même que End of Watch avec 26 M. Et Dredd plonge pour même pas 10 M au compteur.
La semaine prochaine, c'est Frankenweenie le dernier Burton contre Taken 2 qui arrive en même temps qu'en France, pour surfer sur le succès US du premier opus.
