C'était attendu, mais peut être pas autant, la suite et conclusion de Wicked : Partie II ravage tout sur son passage pour 150 M$ US et 226 en Mondial, soit largement plus que le premier. Universal peut sabler le champagne avec une bonne année pour eux, le carton du dernier Jurassic World et quelques autres n'efface pas quelques bides cependant. Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de troisième opus, à moins que...
De son côté, Insaisissables 3 ne démérite pas d'un cumul de 36 M$ US et 146 M en tout, avec un budget déjà remboursé, le 4ème annoncé est déjà validé. Même constat pour Predator : Badlands de près de 160 M en tout (76 US).
Par contre, pas de miracle pour Running Man qui chute lourdement et affiche que 48 M$ en Mondial et 27 aux USA. Ca risque d'être compliqué par la suite de Glen Powell de faire un film sur son nom.
Enfin, pour les nouveautés, démarrage décevant pour Rental Family de 3 M$ avec Brendan Fraser en apprenti acteur au Japon et Sisu : Road To Revenge (malgré Stephen Lang), 2 M$ environ.
Le week-end prochain, raz de marée à prévoir pour Zootopie 2.
