Deux mois après le bide de Blanche-Neige, Disney rebondit avec le carton inattendu du nouveau remake live action Lilo & Stitch. De 145 M$ US, mais 341 M Mondiaux, c'est tout simplement l'un des meilleurs départs du genre alors que personne n'y croyait vraiment. De quoi faire renoncer à Disney l'arrêt des remakes suspendus ? A suivre.
De son côté, Mission : Impossible - The Final Reckoning n'est pas en reste pour 63 M$ US ce qui constitue le meilleur départ de la franchise, mais surtout plus de 202 M Mondiaux qui reste excellent, même si ce sera difficile de rembourser son énorme coût, c'est un gros, gros départ surtout avec des avis positifs (pas comme en France mais on est habitués).
Par la suite, grosse chute logique pour Destination Finale : Bloodlines, mais un cumul US de près de 90 M et total de 187, le compte y est. Sinners frôle les 260 M aux USA et les 340 M dans le Monde poursuivant son parcours triomphal.
Enfin, Thunderbolts * se maintient bien mais patine un peu pour 355 M globaux (173 US), on est encore loin des gros scores d'avant.
Le week-end prochain, c'est la tentative de suite de Karate Kid : Legends (curieusement reporté en Août en France).
