BO US : Dune : Deuxième partie : enfin un démarrage solide pour un blockbuster

Attendu comme le Messie pour relancer la machine, Dune : Deuxième partie ne déçoit enfin pas en démarrant à 81 M$ US et déjà à près de 180 M en Mondial (soit le double du précédent) devenant aussi la meilleure ouverture de Villeneuve. Sachant que la durée est presque 3 heures, Hollywood connaît enfin un succès qui plus est, avec de bons retours, ce qui est de plus en plus rare, ainsi que Warner qui va sans nul doute mettre la pression à Villeneuve pour la suite, même si ce dernier a déclaré qu'il prendrait son temps. Après Nolan, voir un film de cette teneur marcher fait plaisir tout de même.
Par la suite, Bob Marley One Love cumule 146 M $ aux US devenant un vrai succès surprise, Ordinary Angels permet à Hilary Swank d'avoir enfin un succès US pour 12 M$, le film n'a pas de date française.
Enfin, à signaler que Madame Web après quatre semaines d'exploitation n'en est qu'à 91 M$ Mondiaux, une gageure pour un film du genre malheureusement.
Le week-end prochain, c'est le retour de Pô pour Kung Fu Panda 4 (et DreamWorks espère un succès après plusieurs échecs).
