On dirait que quand les studios ne font pas de blockbusters, ça porte ces fruits. Avec 28 M$ de recettes et une première place Paramount a gagné son pari auprès des adolescentes. Joué et écrit par Tina Fey avec Angourie Rice et la nouvelle venue Renée Rapp, sorte de suite au film de 2004, Mean Girls est le succès surprise de ce début d'année.
Jason Statham peut oublier le bide du dernier Expendables avec The Beekepeer qui ouvre à la seconde place pour 16 700 000 $ pas mal pour le nouveau David Ayer qui revient après plusieurs échecs, le film n'a pas encore de sortie France ceci dit.
Enfin, Le Livre de Clarence, une comédie biblique qui semble lorgner du côté des Monty Python avec Omar Sy où Benedict Cumberbatch (hem) est un clair échec pour 2 575 000 $ seulement.
Autrement, Aquaman et le Royaume perdu avec 375 M global devient le plus gros succès de Warner/DC depuis le premier opus, de quoi donner envie à James Gunn de valider un troisième opus ?
Wonka tient bon pour 176 M$ US mais plus de 500 en Mondial, même Tout sauf toi continue son rattrape en cumulant 55 M.
Enfin, Pauvres Créatures se maintient bien pour 17 M$.
Le week-end prochain, pas de grosses sorties en vu, les films pourront continuer leurs rattrapages.
