Quand on exploite une franchise jusqu'à plus soif. Près de dix ans après le troisième opus les Expendables étaient de retour pour un 4ème épisode signé ici du cascadeur Scott Waugh avec Megan Fox en nouvelle venue et le film ouvre à 8 M $ autant la plus faible ouverture de la série.
Il faut se rendre à l'évidence, Stallone et Schwarzenegger ne sont plus ce qu'ils étaient au cinéma après les échecs des derniers Rambo et Terminator notamment.
L'autre nouveauté le film fantastique Inside (passé inaperçu dans l'hexagone) ne débute qu'à 2 M$ dans un classement en forte baisse.
Mystère à Venise plonge même si il atteint les 71 M$ Mondial (les 25 US), la fin d'Hercule Poirot au cinéma ?
Equalizer 3 se maintient bien mais patine à 81 M$, idem pour Blue Beetle à 69 M.
A noter que La Nonne II reste en tête pour 69 M$ US et 204 M$ Mondial chutant très peu pour le genre.
Le week-end prochain, c'est le fameux The Creator premier gros film de la rentrée, Century Studio espère enfin un gros succès vu les retours et le genre de film.
