Relancé depuis The Visit et son passage chez Jason Blum, le nouveau Shyamalan et son intrigue de fin du monde en huis clos, Knock at the Cabin était de sorti ce week-end. Avec 12 M$ pour un budget de 20 (déjà remboursé en Mondial), on peut dire que Shyamalan confirme son retour même si le démarrage est moins fort que Old son précédent.
Paramount se console un peu du flop de Babylon avec 80 For Brady, l'histoire de quatre femmes qui font le voyage pour assister à un match de SuperBowl, avec Jane Fonda notamment. Le film démarre honnêtement pour 12 500 000 $ (peu de chance que le métrage arrive jusqu'à l'hexagone ceci-dit).
Avatar : La voie de l'eau perd donc sa place de leader mais pour 636 M$ aux US et une constante stable, pas de quoi faire grise mine, idem pour Le Chat Potté 2 qui cumule 151 M$ et près de 370 en Mondial et Le Pire voisin au monde confirme que Tom Hanks est toujours attractif en salles pour 151 M$.
Enfin M3GAN frôle les 90 M$ US et les 160 Mondial pour un film passé quasi inaperçu en France.
Le week-end prochain, c'est la ressortie de Titanic pour ses 25 ans, on pourra trouver tout de même un peu malhonnête ce procédé.
