BO US - Beast rugit timidement battu par un manga

Comme en France, c'est un manga animé qui arrive en tête du box office US, la franchise Dragonball, nommée ici Dragonball Super : Super Hero se place au sommet pour 20 M$ . Le nanar live action de 2009 n'a donc pas trop impacté la série.
Idris Elba face à un lion féroce, le dernier Baltasar Kormákur Beast, déçoit un peu pour 11 M$ de départ US (21 M en Mondial). Petite déception pour Universal qui en attendait certainement mieux mais qui a connu un été florissant avec les cartons de Jurassic World : Le Monde d'après (malgré le lynchage) (373 M$ US ce jour), Les Minions 2 (350 M) et Nope qui se maintient très bien (113 M).
Par la suite, les tueurs du Bullet Train se maintiennent correctement, mais n'arrivent même pas à 70 M$ en troisième semaine, c'est un peu juste. Krypto et les Super-Animaux s'affiche correctement 67 M$, mais aurait pu aussi avoir plus et Thor : Love and Thunder dépasse finalement Ragnarok (332 M$ US et 737 dans le Monde).
Enfin, la curiosité Esther 2 n'ouvre qu'à un peu plus de 1 M$ mais distribué dans à peine 498 salles ...
Le week-end prochain, sortie du George Miller avec encore Idris Elba, Trois mille ans à t'attendre et du nouveau film d'horreur, Le bal de l'enfer.
