Sans surprise et sans grande concurrence, Captain Marvel reste en tête en empochant 69 M$ supplémentaire ce qui donne 266 M aux USA et 760 dans le Monde, de plus le film baisse logiquement de 54 % mais moins que d'habitude pour ce type de film. Les concurrents, notamment Dumbo, ne vont pas tarder à arriver, mais il est clair que c'est un nouveau triomphe pour Marvel.
Le Parc des Merveilles, nouvelle prod d'animation pour Paramount et Nickelodeon s'en sort honnêtement pour 16 M, Five Feed Apart nouvelle romance pour ados, à peu près idem avec 13 M.
La douche froide est certainement Captive State, nouvel invasion alien ouvre à 3 M, malgré des trailers très tentants. Nouveau bide pour Rupert Wyatt après le remake de The Gambler toujours inédit en France, il est loin le temps de La planète des singes.
Autrement, Dragons 3 toujours là et un cumul de 135 M US, 466 Mondial, A Madea Family Funeral frôle à peine les 60, le plus faible score de la série pour Tyler Perry ? La grande aventure Lego 2 dépasse enfin les 100 M, Alita : Battle Angel et Green Book sont au coude à coude (81-82 M).
Le week-end prochain, sortie du fameux Us. Jordan Peele, Universal et Jason Blum espère réitérer le carton de Get Out, à suivre.
