BO US : La Prophétie de l'horloge

Premier film fantastique familial pour Eli Roth jusqu'ici habitué aux films d'horreurs très gores, les Hostel, Green Inferno, Roth avait déjà fait du hors genre le sympathique Death Wish avec Bruce Willis.
Avec La prophétie de l'horloge, il semble rendre hommage aux productions Universal/Amblin/Spielberg de la meilleure époque, normal c'est produit par ces derniers. Avec 26 M$ et une place en tête, le score est un peu décevant même si le métrage n'a coûté que 42 M, n'est pas sorti partout et devrait être vite remboursé.
On le croyait disparu, malheureusement ce n'est pas le cas, l'insupportable Michael Moore revient en faisant une suite de son fameux Fahreinheit 9/11 datant de 2004 intitulé Fahrenheit 11/9 en récoltant 3 M$ dans un circuit sans doute limité, attention charge anti-Trump sans doute au menu, mais est ce que le Monsieur a toujours ses fans ?
Par la suite, L'ombre d'Emily se maintient bien et cumule 32 M, de quoi faire revenir en scelle Paul Feig après l'échec de SOS Fantômes, La Nonne dépasse les 100 M et s'approche des 300 en Mondial en faisant sans doute un des plus gros succès de la franchise, Crazy Rich Asians frôle les 160 M.
Enfin, The Predator confirme son bide avec un gros plongeon et à peine 40 M $ US, le film a quand même atteint les 94 M dans le monde, la Fox ne devrait pas être trop déficitaire, mais on est loin du succès attendu.
Le week-end prochain, Night School, une énième comédie afro-américaine, le film d'animation Warner Group Yéti & Compagnie, et The Old Man & The Gun, l'ultime (?) film avec Redford qui n'a pas encore de sortie française.
