BO US- Spielberg au top

Encensé depuis plusieurs semaines un peu partout, de passage à Paris ce week-end pour le présenter le nouveau Spielberg Pentagon Papers (The Post en VO) est bien parti pour effacer l'échec du sympathique mais mineur Le Bon Gros Géant.
Alors que tout le monde attend son Ready Player One, le réalisateur a glissé entre deux blockbuster ce thriller journalistique avec Meryl Streep et Tom Hanks qui en sortie nationale cumule 23 M$ pour un budget de 50 et n'est pas sorti partout, sa carrière est donc loin d'être terminée et prouve que le réalisateur n'a rien perdu de sa verve.
A part ça, Jumanji continue à faire un score de dingue avec 283 M US et 666 M dans le monde, Sony sabre doublement le champagne.
Autrement, The Passenger, le nouveau Collet-Serra/Liam Neeson fait un démarrage honnête de 13 M, Paddington 2 part petitement à 10 M, l'ours n'est pas aussi connu aux USA, Proud Mary avec Taraji P. Henson ouvre à 10 M, mais n'en a coûté que 14 dans un BO en forte hausse depuis le début de l'année.
Par la suite, Les Derniers Jedi dépasse les 591 M, The Greatest Showman se maintient très bien avec 94 M, Insidious 4 subit la chute logique des films d'horreur mais cumule 48 M. Enfin, The Shape of the Water et 3 Billboards toujours en sorties réduites totalisent 26 et 28 M.
Le week-end prochain, c'est Horse Soldiers qui sera la nouveauté du week-end.
