La grosse sortie du moment était bien sûr le spin off de Harry Potter Les Animaux fantastiques qui, heureusement, ne déçoit pas. Avec 75 M$ aux USA et plus de 218 dans le monde, le contrat est bien remplit pour les films suivants. Les détracteurs diront que c'est un peu moins fort que prévu et que c'est l'une des ouvertures les plus "faibles" de la franchise, mais il n'en reste pas moins que le succès est là avec des retours loin d'être mauvais.
Peu de films ont osé affronté la grosse machine Warner, The Edge of Seventeen avec Woody Harrelson remporte 4 M mais n'en a coûté que 9, Bleed for This, un film de boxe à la Rocky avec Aaron Eckhart lui démarre à 2 M pour un coût de 6...
Autrement, Doctor Strange dépasse les 181 M et les 571 dans le monde, malgré des chutes logiques, Les Trolls franchit les 116 M aux USA, c'est toujours un peu juste pour Premier Contact avec 43 M (Budget 47). Enfin, Une journée dans la vie de Billy Lynn le dernier Ang Lee fait une grosse remonté pour 1 086 000 $.
Le week end prochain, c'est Vaiana et Alliés qui vont s'affronter dans les salles US.
