L'été se termine, place aux plus petits budgets avant l'arrivée des gros films de cet hiver.
C'est donc un énième film d'horreur pour ados semble-t-il en found footage qui l'emporte, Don't Breathe-La maison des ténèbres avec Stephen Lang en psychopathe aveugle de service remplit son contrat avec 26 M pour un coût de 9. Avant l'arrivée du prochain Blair Witch, le genre ne s'épuise pas du moins chez certains, heureusement que l'on a droit quand même à quelques vrais bons films d'horreur, comme Conjuring 2 où apparemment Dans le noir (pas eu le courage d'aller voir plus pour les spectateurs que le film), de temps en temps.
Deuxième nouveauté Mechanic Resurrection se plante avec 7 M, Jason Statham reprenait son rôle du Flingueur sympathique polar de 2011, la présence de Jessica Alba en maillot de bain n'a pas suffit pour attirer les foules.
Autrement, Suicide Squad ralentit sa chute avec plus de 282 M $ sur le territoire US et plus de 635 à l'international, idem pour Kubo et l'armure magique qui reste toutefois loin d'être le succès escompté pour 24 M, par contre, Saucisse Partie dépasse les 80, désolant.
Enfin, ça ne s'arrange pas pour Ben-Hur avec à peine 19 M, un des plus gros flops de Paramount récents, Jason Bourne frôle les 150 M, à signaler la jolie remontée du thriller Comancheria avec Chris Pine, Ben Foster, Jeff Bridges (enfin dans un bon rôle semble-t-il) avec 8 M.
Le week end prochain, c'est Une vie entre deux océans avec Michael Fassbender et Alicia Vikander et Prémonitions oui, le thriller avec Anthony Hopkins qui sort un an après la France.
